I feel we should keep our colon cleansed on the regular. I have always been constipated since my youth. And now I am just starting to do something about it. I just recently heard about the lemonade diet and its many benifits like detoxification, weight loss, amd this diet cleanses out your colon.
http://lemonadedietrecipe.org/ Check out the recipe, and the book, you release some really strange stuff from your colon during this diet. I read the book but haven't started the diet, just not yet but i await! Recently I had to get an enema b/c of my terrible constipation, and took a laxative plus got a herbal colon cleanse called Colon Cleanz. You can find it at walmart for about 10.00 well worth it. I'm trying to figure out if I cant digest milk, It seems like thats the only time I get constipated. I'm thinking of switching to soy milk. We have recently got on a new diet which consist of veggies and chicken breast and fish also. No more white processed stuff or pork. It's not good for you. Also no more cheeses, b/c it sticks to colon walls and its hard to digest. Hey maybe cheeses are no different from milk. This new diet gives us way more energy and its so easy to digest. Try adding more vegetables and fruits to your diet and 100% wheat foods, and you'll feel more revived. also try wheat pasta's and 7 grain breads, and cereal high in fiber. Here are some recipes I just came up with recently:
Bag of mixed vegetables, that consist of zucchini, squash, cauliflower, and broccli
find a big bag at walmart for $6.00
Chicken breast find a big unfrozen pack always on sale at walmart only $11.00
Dressing for sauce, try vidiola onion dressing (thick yellow consistancy) or
rasberry walnut dressing (clear dark burgandy color)
and you can use both dressings on this dish or just one to satisfy you
Creole seasoning or salt and black pepper
Put chicken in pan with a little water, season to taste or grill chicken
Take chicken out once done, usually 15 min.
Put vegetables in pot add just enough water about 1/4 in. deep. Dont add too much water b/c your vegetables will taste watered down. Alittle water will go a long way when you steam them. Steam on high covered till you reach your desired tenderness. I prefer them to not reach a soft stage where they break apart, that's too long, so olnly cook for about 9 min. Add sauce and cut up chicken and drop it in.

Cooking 101
There can't seem to be nothing more impressive than cooking at home for you and your family. Wouldn't it be better to have a good home cooked meal that has that home good taste, rather than unhealthy fatty restaurant food, that makes you feel drained afterwards. There is no way you can tell me that home cooked food isn't better than McDonalds or Burger King. Only one exception is that eating out can be fun, but why spend tons of money on one meal instead of buying recipes that will be more satisfying, paying half the cost. I enjoy being a homemaker pleasing my husbands tummy more than anything, and plus see that happy ending with "Wow that was really good". They say there's nothing better to a man than satisfying his taste buds.
I have done thanksgiving a few times since we been married, and sometimes he throws in a southern dish of his own, like green bean cassorole with bacon, and the yummy Southern Pecan Pie. With my husband being a southern guy and me being a Northern girl, I had to pick a cooking style that would please us both. I picked the Southern way. Why because it tastes so much better. Who would want bland food after they have tasted the goodness of spicy, creole meals like Red Beans and rice or a tasty treat for desert like Pecan Candy. Hey I never enjoyed such good food, and I learned from the master, my husband. How weird is that. I must say I may have had the skill already in me, he just brought it out with such nicer ingredients down here in the South.
When I was single I used to eat alot of box foods, and only cooked breakfast. I must say I was learning, and eventually got tired of the same old. I use to always spicin' my food up with hotsauce, but when I got intruduced to creole seasoning I fell in love. It gives so much flavor, plus when you cook with the onions, bell peppers and garlic, it's wonderful. I must say cooking is fun, but sometimes you get tired of cooking the same things over and over again. It's nice to try to have taco's and fajhita's, and also to try and explore and make up stuff. But only with the exception of Thanksgiving coming around, I hope to enjoy the same thing we have evey year, who can get tired of Turkey, or sweet potatoe pie. Only the juicy and tender turkey and the sweet potato cassorole with pecans please me. I have become a pecan fanactic down here in the south.
I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!
